Franz is a PhD student in Natural Language Processing at ETH Zürich, supervised by Ryan Cotterell. He did his Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science at Cambridge, followed by a Master’s degree in Computer Science at ETH. His main research interest is the formal investigation of neural network architectures, such as RNNs and transformers.
